Building Campaign

Abundant Love was very blessed to rent space from another church since our church was founded in 2011 until June 2019. However, our long-term vision for our church includes having our own building. As described on our church’s GoFundMe page, we envision our church serving not only as a gathering place for Christian worship services but also as a multi-purpose community center. We intend to have our building will maximize the advancement of God’s Kingdom by having a Christian daycare, after school program, and summer camp. The church will be a warming center when natural disasters hit, and it will serve as an emergency shelter for the surrounding area when it is dangerous to sleep outside, such as when it is dangerously cold. The church also intends to operate a small Christian store, where books and other items are sold, since we know of no Protestant Christian bookstore in the immediate area. In addition, part of the second floor will be a caretaker’s apartment. Maria Menzel, the wife of our Senior Pastor Anthony Menzel, is a Licensed Social Worker with her Masters in Social Work degree. She also intends to open a Christian therapy office at the church in the future.

To participate in our building campaign, you can currently do one or more of the following:

1) Contribute via the church’s GoFundMe page, https://www.gofundme.com/abundant-love-building-fund.

2) Indicate that your Zelle or Cash App offering is for the Building Fund by including the note “Building Fund” on your electronic offering or texting Pastor Anthony at 201-572-6598 that the purpose of your offering to give to the Building Fund.

3) Indicate that a check, money order, or cash offering is for the Building Fund by placing such a donation in an envelope with your name and the words “Building Fund.”

3) Participate in our Virtual Brick program. If fiscally feasible, we will have bricks in our church building that have the names of the people for whom virtual bricks have been purchased. In addition, we will have a plaque in the church with their names and how many bricks were purchased in their honor. Each brick costs $100. Partial payments can be given. For example, if you would like to honor your earthly father with a virtual brick, it is feasible to give $25 on his birthday, another $25 at Christmas, and $50 for Father’s Day to complete the virtual brick. Abundant Love will be maintaining records of partial payments, as well as posting the names of people with bricks here on the Internet, including here on our Web site.

On the plaque, virtual bricks will be listed in alphabetical order by last name. Individuals for whom more than one brick has been purchased will have the number of bricks purchased next to their name in parentheses. Currently our list of virtual bricks includes:

  • Eulalia Cabrera
  • Carmen Campos Navarro viuda Chávez
  • Olga Conde viuda Falquez
  • Erica Graves
  • Minna Menzel
  • Virginia Ramos
